‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6, episode 10 preview: Talking Katey Sagal, Jimmy Smits, and more
Tonight at a charity event in New Jersey for the Hurricane Sandy relief effort, a group of diehard “Sons of Anarchy” fans are going to get the unique opportunity to watch Tuesday night’s episode “Huang Wu” a little bit early. So while we tend to traditionally post our whole “what to expect” article on Monday night with the show a little bit more on the horizon, we want to do it now just in case someone at the event decides to become the mad spoiler and inundate the internet with a list of various things that go down over the course of the hour. (If they do this, they are of course very evil.)
We should note here first of all that promotional photos released for an episode can be very deceptive, given that they just may be for a few scenes that happen close to one another. Take, for example, these images of Gemma. Is this episode really going to be the Katey Sagal spectacular? While she will have a pretty important role to play, it’s unlikely that the entire episode is solely about her.
But, we go by what we see, and we’re going to see her quest to “protect” her family be taken to a variety of different sources. One of them, of course, is a man in Nero who is probably just grateful to be back out of prison again after he was tried to make into a scapegoat or someone who would sing like a canary. Does Nero really want to get mixed up into all of this madness? We are a little bit of two minds on this. We know that he loves Gemma and would do anything for her, but at the same time, we cannot imagine him really enjoying or appreciating having to get involved with this craziness time and time again.
Meanwhile, you also have Wendy still in the picture, and you have to wonder just where she is going to fit into everything now. For Gemma, we wager that it could be very much all about the counter-attack. We’ve already seen what Tara did to try to keep her children safe, and it was … good? Unfortunately for Tara most of what she learned, she learned from the original in Gemma, and it is hard to outsmart the master.
