NBC’s ‘Revolution’ season 2 episode 5 preview: Aaron’s power; Monroe’s standoff
During Wednesday night’s new episode of “Revolution” season 2, we had quite an uneven story that at least presented one pretty decent shock near the end: Aaron has powers! He can be the most dangerous person out of the entire cast, but the problem here is that he does not quite know how to control them. He’s suddenly identifying himself as a freak and an outcast, which to us only really means one thing: He’s going to attempt to isolate himself.
You can see some of that in the promo below for “One Riot, One Ranger,” a new episode of the NBC hit that will be putting quite a bit of its focus on his story. He and Rachel are going to do everything that they can while wearing their “science” hats in an effort to figure out what is causing this. But is that really going to accomplish anything in the end? It’s going to be tricky.
For a few more details about this and other stories, be sure to read the synopsis below:
“Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) speculate on the extreme effects of Nano technology, while he also confides in Cynthia (Jessica Collins). Meanwhile a figure from Miles’s (Billy Burke) rugged past, Texas Ranger John Fry (Jim Beaver) reemerges. Fry could be Miles’ chance to bring down the Patriots in a big way, however Fry will need convincing. Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) has a surprise for Miles and her mother, while Secretary Allenford (Nicole Ari Parker) holds a secret important to Neville (Giancarlo Esposito).”
As for the promo, the best moment comes courtesy of the one that will have you squirming a little bit in your chair as Rachel pulls a gun on Monroe when he enters with Charlie, of all people. The two have formed a pretty weird little bond as of late, so it will be interesting to see if that lasts now that the vast majority of the main characters are together again in Willoughby.
