Teresa Giudice wants to return to ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ for season 6
Teresa Giudice is not someone to be derailed by the possibility of her having to go to prison. In a new interview on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live!” Sunday night, she stated very clearly that if the option is there for her to be on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” next season in the midst of a legal fracas, she would be more than interested in coming back.
In one way, this decision is somewhat surprising. It’s hard to really see at this point how this series has done Teresa a significant amount of good over the past five years, especially the past three with her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga as a part of the cast. Basically, they alternate weeks blaming each other for the family falling apart, and the christening fight was one of the ugliest that we’ve seen on the show (and the same goes for the one between their husbands earlier this year).
However, at the same exact time Teresa has faced some troubles when it comes to bankruptcy over the years, and this show is probably a valid source of income. It doesn’t necessarily pay “The Big Bang Theory” kind of money, but she is able to use this to promote some of her personal product lines and book appearances. This is where so many housewives find their success, and it is how Bethenny Frankel managed to turn Skinnygirl into a household name back when she was actually a part of the show.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is one of Bravo’s most-popular shows, and it will almost for sure be back for a sixth season, but it looks like there will be some changes. Caroline Manzo is already set to reportedly leave in favor of her own “Manzo’d with Children” spin-off (at least if the show takes off), and it would not be a surprise to see a reinvention of what this series is in many ways given that it has become tiresome and repetitive as of late.
This is not the only infamous comment that Teresa made to Andy on Sunday night; she also explained the fears that she has over being possibly jailed alongside Joe, and that she is trying to stay strong for her children.
