‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: Claire Danes on Carrie being pushed to her limits
Finally, we have arrived to what we could very well call “the month of ‘Homeland.'” September 29 may still be four weeks away, but we are at least within the same month now that Showtime’s excellent series will be back on the air.
With that in mind, why not celebrate with a video featuring Claire Danes front and center? You can see her below talking about just what the new season is going to be like for her character, and just where we are going to end up seeing Carrie go from here. What is important about her character right now is that she is one of the few people aware of what really happened at Langley during the season 2 finale; she knows that Nicholas Brody is not guilty, and despite it being easier for the public to turn him into the scapegoat, she will continue to fight for what she believes to be right.
For season 3, Carrie is going to be questioned repeatedly by members of Congress, as they try desperately to figure out just what her role was in dealing with Brody. She is a more important person than ever thanks to all of those who are dead, but the problem that comes with that is that she is not always the most stable person to deal with. She is going to be off her medication now for one, claiming that this is one of the primary reasons why she struggled so much in the first place to figure out what was happening with Brody. She is a bipolar character, and there are a number of times this coming season where you are going to see emotional breakdowns.
