ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6: Official ‘details’ on Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic’s next chapter
Want to read some of the first official details from “Castle” season 6? Well, we have that for you now courtesy of an ABC press release … though be warned that the show is not going to spoil much of anything about the plot.
The official synopsis instead focuses more on the show’s success, and the journey of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters to get to where they are now. It may be a nice touch for those of you still interested in reading a recap (even after that recap show last year), but otherwise you may be shouting at ABC from your windows for not giving you anything more useful about what lies ahead:
“…Though they instantly clashed, sparks of another sort began to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Castle stepped in to help find the copycat killer. Once that initial case was solved, Castle and Beckett continued to investigate strange homicides in New York, combining Castle’s writer intuition and Beckett’s creative detective work.
“Then, after four seasons of “will they” or “won’t they,” Castle and Beckett finally gave into their feelings for each other. Working together as a couple during Season 5, the crime-solving dynamic duo navigated new chapters in their lives, culminating in a cliffhanger in which Castle got down on one knee and asked Beckett to marry him. Season 6 will begin with her answer…”
One other important little detail worth noting here is that while viewers everywhere are anxiously awaiting whether or not Beckett says yes, you better get ready to mark your calendars for much of the next year. While “Once Upon a Time,” “Scandal,” and many other ABC shows are airing their seasons in blocks rather than all across the board with assorted repeats, “Castle” is sticking with its old tried-and-true method. Being more procedural helps to make that possible, and the other thing is that the show wants to air its new episodes after new episodes of “Dancing with the Stars” and “The Bachelor.” It is all, therefore, about timing.
Before you tune in to the premiere on September 23, why not laugh a little? Click here if you want to see Fillion and Katic star in the latest set of bloopers related to the show, and we will have more when available.
