‘Survivor: Blood vs. Water’ spoilers: ‘Big Brother’ winner Hayden Moss on board
We’re hesitant to report about casting rumors for “Survivor” until the show actually announces them, mostly because there is some sort of precedent out there for them being wrong, but this is one rumor that we are glad to see has turned out to be true: We have our first-ever “Big Brother” player joining the “Survivor” family.
In a piece on Entertainment Weekly today, it was confirmed that “Big Brother 12” champion Hayden Moss will be a part of “Survivor: Blood vs. Water” along with his girlfriend Kat Edorsson of “Survivor: One World.” The only reason we were disappointed? We wanted to see Kat’s crazy cousin on the show with her, just so we could see what happened every time they showed up to a challenge and saw each other again.
While there are a number of players from “Big Brother” who would do terribly in this game (Amanda and Aaryn from this current season come to mind), Hayden’s got the skills to be pretty strong so long as he’s not immediately targeted as a former winner of a reality show. He’s a good social player, is pretty likable, and also should dominate competitions just like he did at the end of his season.
As for bringing Kat back, we’re for it given that she was a big character, and you need to have a mixture of those to go along with big strategists. Kim Spardlin is easily one of the best players in history and we’d prefer to see her back, but they could have done far worse with this selection.
“Survivor: Blood vs. Water” will premiere on CBS on Wednesday, September 18, and we will have more news in the coming days. We’ve also got some more location photos here, just in case you are curious about the setting.
