‘Nashville’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Twilight,’ ‘Vampire Diaries’ alum to romance…
The following news has to feel rather great for Charlie Bewley: He’s getting an opportunity to be a part of a major primetime television show, but he is not being forced at the same time to wear a set of fangs or deal with someone else wearing them. After appearing on both “Twilight” and “The Vampire Diaries,” the actor now has his next major gig … and this time, he’s heading down into music city.
According to TVLine, the actor is going to play a major part on “Nashville” season 2 as Trey, a shrewd and confident businessman that serves as a love interest for Juliette. He will make his first appearance in the third episode of the season, and his future on the show will probably be tied somewhat to chemistry, the fan reaction, and whether or not Juliette can hold down some sort of long-term relationship.
Even though this is technically a show about the country-music industry, we did see a great deal of romance stories in the first season, and that is going to be continuing moving into the future. How much so? Let’s just say that Connie Britton’s Rayna is also going to be getting a new love interest of her own this coming season, which could occupy these two characters when they are not feuding or making music.
Even though “Nashville” was a fan favorite for much of the show’s first season, there is still a sentiment that the show needs to somehow up its game if it wants to improve on some so-so ratings. Getting some actors like Bewley, who definitely carries with him a following, could certainly help things.
Be sure to check out the first promo for the new “Nashville” season if you haven’t already, and as always, we welcome all of your thoughts below!
