‘Dexter’ season 8, episode 2 preview: Dr. Vogel and Dexter’s next heart-to-heart
“Sooner or later, somebody’s going to be holding a part of my brain in a jar.”
If this line does not send a major chill down your spine, we will wonder just how human you truly are. Charlotte Rampling’s “Dexter” character of Dr. Evelyn Vogel continues to become more and more creepy / mysterious, and we are set to see even more of this tomorrow night courtesy of Sunday night’s new episode “Every Silver Lining.” Why is that? We start to notice more of a connection between her and the “Brain Surgeon,” described to this point as the Big Bad sort of character that both she and Miami Metro are trying to hunt down.
In the video below, Evelyn tells Dexter that she was sent a piece of the most-recent victim’s brain by the likely killer, and she shows it to him after receiving it on her doorstep. So why go after her? Evelyn believes that the killer is one of her former patients reaching out in some insanely twisted way, and she has to try and find a way to put a stop to this person before they can inflict more damaged.
As for how Dexter is getting so involved here with her, she likely realizes above all that as a psychopath (even if she believes him to be the Bay Harbor Butcher, thanks in part to a huge amount of evidence), he knows how these sort of people think. Is there a possible ulterior motive thrown in here? Sure, but she is not so keen to reveal it just yet.
What do you think about this “Dexter” clip? If you want to watch another focusing more notably on Jennifer Carpenter’s character of Deb, our advice is to head on over to the link here.
