‘The Following’ season 2 spoilers: Kevin Bacon on possible changes for Ryan
What is going to happen on “The Following” season 2? It’s a good question, but one that we don’t really have much of an answer to just yet. We are still over six months before the premiere date for the show, and filming has not really even kicked off just yet.
Some of the major mysteries that are out there right now have to do with whether or not some people are going to survive leading up to the new year, including James Purefoy’s Joe Carroll and Natalie Zea’s Claire. Neither party has been confirmed, and rather than touching on either one of them in a new interview with TVLine, Kevin Bacon explained that one element of the new season he can tease is some sort of time jump for his character of Ryan Hardy:
“My discussions with Kevin have been in very broad strokes… but what I really respond to, that he’s brought up to me, is the idea that when you next see Ryan, he’s in a very different place in his life. There’s the idea that we may jump ahead in time, so maybe we’ll have the opportunity to find a kind of ‘more together’ guy.”
How will being more “together” manifest on the show? That remains to be seen, but the danger that comes with this is that if Ryan is in a better place, it could devastate him to learn that Joe is still alive, or there are more deaths taking place.
What do you think is going to happen on “The Following” season 2, and are there any people in particular that you hope to still see alive? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! Also, be sure to head over to the link here if you want to read some more news on the upcoming season.
