‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Kurt Sutter dishes more on companion series
Remember last week, when “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter teased that he was in the process of trying to launch some sort of companion piece? Well, we now have at least a few more details about what this show could be, and where it could end up appearing if ordered.
In the latest chapter of his “WTFSutter” video series (which you can see below / warning for language as always), the showrunner explained that this series is something that he has been trying to get off the ground for a few years now, and it is actually the launch of another companion show in AMC’s “Talking Dead” that has furthered along some of his ideas and facilitated his development in some ways. He says that it will not be a straight-up talk show a la “Talking Dead,” but there could be some similar components.
As for where you could potentially see it, Sutter for now suggested that it would be an online offering kind of like this video. From a personal standpoint, we certainly would not mind to have a sort of video post-mortem on almost every episode featuring someone associated with the show. Plus, it’s another way to give back to the fans, and the show is already pretty fantastic when it comes to doing this.
In going away from the companion show and its still-ambiguous nature, Sutter also talks for a moment about the casting of CCH Pounder in a pivotal role this season, and how he often treats many of his guest stars prior to their arrival on set for the first time.
