‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: Jessica Capshaw talks possibilities for Calzona
Are Callie and Arizona over as a couple on “Grey’s Anatomy” this season? While we do very much understand the temptation right now to push the panic button on the couple, the truth here is that this is a show that likes to build and explore before drawing any sort of firm conclusion, and we still have a little while to go before we come to a point where the couple is officially going to be at an end.
While in the closing minutes of this episode we learned that Arizona still has clearly not let go of the fact that Callie broke her promise to not amputate her leg after the plane crash, we still don’t know how the two plan to move forward from here. Is there love on both sides? Sure, but nobody wants to stay in a relationship where there still is a possibility of further infidelity.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter recently, Jessica Capshaw gave a thorough and very insightful response to how she views the Calzona relationship, how far it has grossed thus far, and where she also sees it heading moving forward to season 10:
“When I came onto the show, the evolution of the character was to get into a relationship and stay in that relationship. A lot of stuff happens around them, but Callie and Arizona’s love was always in tact. I never saw this one coming, so once the story presented itself, I thought it was wonderful opportunity as an actor to play with what the other sides of a person are. Infidelity is horrible, there’s nothing worse than that; it’s devastating. I hope it doesn’t turn into a year of self-flagellation for Arizona. I think you can do something bad and it doesn’t make you a bad person. We are not defined by any one choice. We are the sum of our experiences and we can make bad choice and turn around and do better. I do think that with any kind of infidelity, on some level — unless you’re dealing with a sociopath — there’s always a reason. There will be an exploration of what that reason was and that will give the Grey’s writers fertile ground to play with next season.”
What do you think: Do Callie and Arizona have a chance, or do you think it is more likely that the show should just have the two break up, since their relationship is now in so many ways broken? We have more “Grey’s Anatomy” scoop concerning Webber over here, so be sure to take a look.

The couple will struggle (and it may last all season) but their struggle will make them a stronger couple. It will be good acting and keep the audience interested in their relationship. Then they will reunite (and it may be in season 11). IMHO

Arizona needs to think about if callie would have lost her .she would have been very heartbroken already looseing mark I don’t know. what she have done if she losed them both. I don’t think if she would have gotten out of bed. I was very upset with Arizona after what she done. Even after she already new what Gorage did the samething. And really hurt callie a lot and still blaming her for her leg. She had to take her because is would have died if she didn’t.
