‘Big Brother Canada’ review: A moose, nominations, and more twist turmoil

Big Brother CanadaOn Thursday night’s “Big Brother Canada” episode, we had a situation that was certainly shocking for the houseguests: Gary returned to the house after a few weeks in the jury house, and the results of that were pretty catastrophic. After all, this guy almost immediately had a huge advantage in the game. He not only is a good competitor, but he knows how the jury is thinking and feeling, and can choose to influence the other contestants accordingly.

So did we see Gary try to do that in the house this week? Somewhat, but at the end of the day, it really did not matter that much. After all, what we saw instead was the continued domination of Emmett and Jillian as a pair in this game. Emmett ended up winning Head of Household, and thus had the power to nominate two out of the three people that are not in his showmance.

Of course, the people nominated were Gary and Andrew, who are the two biggest threats in the game. We already knew that, though, from watching the show, so the question that we have to ask instead is rather simple: was this still entertaining? Well, there was an appearance from Marsha the Moose, which in turn allowed for a pretty entertaining way to get Talla some more airtime. With there being so little strategy going on right now (save for when Dan Gheesling is around), we do need these moments of levity in order to keep things fresh.
