‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Bailey’s tough situation

On the last episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 airing last week, we saw Dr. Miranda Bailey end up being placed in one of the more difficult moments of her entire career. After thinking that someone else within the walls of the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital was responsible for spreading an infection, she ended up being the guilty party. Now the Center for Disease Control is involved, and we could be seeing a situation where her job is really on the line.

So where does she go from here? Based on what the photo attached here from the show’s next new episode “Sleeping Monster” (airing on April 25) shows, it looks as though there will be plenty of sitting down and discussing her options. We don’t really know if there is going to be a way out from this, since this is the sort of situation that often wrecks many doctors in the real world.

The one thing that gives us hope for Dr. Bailey? That while “Grey’s Anatomy” has featured characters going through very tragic situations before, more often than not they do not end up leaving the hospital unless they are leaving the show. The last thing Shonda Rhimes wants or needs is to put a character that she wants to keep around in a position where they won’t be around the show that much, so we’re feeling pretty optimistic that Bailey will find a way to stick around. After all, Chandra Wilson is much too valuable to lose … right?
