‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: What comes next for Alex, Jo, and Bailey

With us nearing the end of “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9, it’s of course inevitable that there is going to be more and more conversation about what is going to happen when it comes to these characters. This is a show that deals with tragedy and stunners the way that Ihop deals with pancakes, and we’ve become so used to it over the years that we would be stunned to actually see a season of the show that did not integrate drama in some significant shape or form.

While the show is not going to be returning with new episodes until Thursday, April 25, we do at least now have a few early details on this episode entitled “Sleeping Monster.” Based on the synopsis below via SpoilerTV, it feels as though the show is going to pick up pretty much exactly where it left off:

“After several of Bailey’s patients die, she becomes the focus of a CDC investigation; Cristina teases Alex about his feelings for Jo; Owen continues to take care of Ethan while his parents remain in the hospital.”

Is Bailey going to end up keeping her job? We imagine that this is one of many questions that we are going to see asked moving forward, along with whether or not Owen’s attachment to Ethan is a sign that the tension between him and Cristina about kids is going to come roaring back soon. Every storyline happens on this show for a reason, and all of these teasers are clearly building to something.
