NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 4: Blake Shelton plays chicken with Jimmy Fallon (video)
There are really some things that we never expected to see on TV in a million years, and Blake Shelton dressed in a chicken suit while clucking a song from the Lumineers was one of them. This is the joy of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” and it also makes you wonder if the host is going to be able to get away with this same sort of assorted weirdness after he moves to his rumored new “Tonight Show” spot in the fall of next year.
But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves here, since that would diminish the joy of what we are about to show you: the smooth sounds of chickens clucking, one repeatedly after the other. This video is without a doubt completely ridiculous, but you have to give the guys credit for being able to get through this in its entirety without having a serious breakdown along the way. (We’re not sure we would have handled it nearly as well.) To increase the hilarity factor another notch, the two parties were joined by another notoriously “manly” celebrity in “Parks and Recreation” actor Nick Offerman.
If this was a performance on “The Voice,” who knows? This could be something that Blake could have turned his chair around for just to see who was bold enough to come out and cluck like a chicken. The only thing that makes this even greater is that Shelton has now set his Twitter photo as him in this chicken suit, passed out with a bottle of booze in his hand. (Happy Easter?)
What do you think of this “Ho Hey” rendition: was it cluckin’ magical to you, or something you are still trying to forget about? If you want to read some more highlights from “The Voice” this week, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
