TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2 spoilers: One final look at J.R. Ewing’s funeral

Over the course of the past several days, we have written a whole heap of teasers all about the upcoming pivotal episode of “Dallas” season 2, one that is going to feature the funeral for the beloved character of J.R. Ewing. Ever since Larry Hagman tragically passed away following a bout with cancer, we knew that this moment would come where the series would have to address just what happened to his legendary role that spans several decades of TV history.

While the photo shows a lovely tribute to the character featuring many of the original cast for the show, it also represents one of the few moments during the episode in which we are actually going to see everyone on the show smiling. After all, we know already that there is going to be a great deal of emotion that plays out in between the tributes to Ewing, but there are also the circumstances surrounding his death that must be dealt with.

As you may know already, the first issue that is going to come up is not why Ewing died, but where he died. (Hint: it’s an international destination.) While there are not going to be too many answers that are presented to viewers by the end of this hour, we will at least see some sort of stage set that will be a key point of contention for the characters in the weeks ahead. This time around, “who shot J.R.?” is going to have a very different sort of conclusion to it.
