‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 3, episode 20 review: Is Detective Wilden [spoiler]?

Pretty Little LiarsAs we near the end of “Pretty Little Liars” season 3, some things are starting to get more and more apparent … with the primary one being that this show is getting completely and totally insane.

The first thing that we have to point out here? That Hanna and her mom Ashley are in some pretty enormous trouble with Wilden. The Detective was starting to completely freak out when it comes to how close Hanna was getting to some shocking secrets about him and Alison. Then, to make matters far worse, Ashley decided to ignore his threats, and then run the guy over in a moment of blind rage.

If Wilden really dead? We don’t know, as his body was not there when Ashley went to check out it later. Unfortunately, she does not realize that she was being recorded making this very bold move.

While this may be the moment that everyone talks about for a while, it was hardly the only major revelation from this episode. After all, we also witnessed Emily find out a secret about Paige’s past history with Shana, a new attempt on Spencer from “A,” and finally the character coming to the realization that she was ready to tell the others the truth about what she has been hiding over the course of the past several weeks: Toby is on “The A-Team,” and he is someone who has been helping Mona since the very beginning.

Of course, we also learned this week that Melissa had somehow yet again figured out a way to stay involved in the story, as she was the person responsible for taking the photo of CeCe, Widlen, and Alison. Does this really mean anything? Not really, and we still think that Melissa is just the token red herring that pops up every now and then whenever the series wants someone to blame.
