‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9, episode 15 preview: Derek and Arizona fight over…

On Thursday night’s new “Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 episode, a debate is going to be waged; and to the surprise of pretty much no one, money is going to be front and center. All of the plane crash survivors have each found themselves $15 million richer, but they also have ultimately ended up on very different pages when it comes to one key issue: how to spend it.

When it comes to Derek, he makes his pleas very clear in the latest sneak peek from “Hard Bargain” to Arizona: they should pool their money to save the hospital, which gives all of them a property that they can build from the ground up together. Not only that, but it would allow for all of their fellow friends and co-workers to continue working there without fear of layoffs.

Unfortunately, Jessica Capshaw’s character is not so interested in this idea, and she even starts to argue over it with Callie for one simple reason: more than anything else in the world right now, she wants security. Thanks to the plane crash, she learned that things can be taken away from you at any given moment, and the last thing that she wants to see is this taken away from her or from her young daughter in the future if she ever needs this money right away.

Expect to see this money debate to loom large throughout “Hard Bargain,” as every one of the survivors is going to chime in with their thoughts on how to best spend it. One thing that we do know for sure? That this is something that has the potential to tear friendships apart.
