‘Big Brother Canada’: Mike Boogie, Dr. Will debate pronunciation in latest promo
Considering that we have heard about “Big Brother Canada” ever since season 14 was on the air back in the summer, this wait has felt at times rather excruciating: luckily, the network behind the show in Slice is at least doing what they can to give us a few more reasons to be excited.
Slowly and surely, Slice has been releasing new promos of the show featuring quite possibly the greatest alliance in reality TV history: Chilltown, featuring of course Mike “Boogie” Malin and Dr. Will Kirby. This video is sadly probably the weakest one to date, mostly because it really makes very little reference at all to the “Big Brother” game, and is instead simply all about a simple debate as to how Canadians say the word “about.”
The obvious attempt here in this video to to mock bad stereotypes of Canadians by the USA, much in the same way that people in the south often mock how people think that they are all cowboys or hillbillies who live in trailer parks. In reality there’s only a small percentage of Canadians we have met who say “about” anywhere close to “aboot,” but this is really a moot point either way. (The fact that we are talking about it suggests that the producers of this show have won.)
Anyhow, let’s get in to actually talking about the show. “Big Brother Canada” will air on the same nights as the does in America (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays), but an hour in the evening later. There will also be “Big Brother After Dark,” which will air from 2-5 a.m. Eastern time and provide an even greater look at life in the house. This is a little bit of a surprise largely in that this house is supposed to be in the Greater Toronto Area (at least per early announcements), so unless these contestants are all night owls, this could be a little dull.

Well this is exciting. But one question ultimately remains: will there be a live Internet feed? Because that’s what a lot of the fans have been wondering
