‘Jersey Shore’: JWoww ‘nervous’ for first live hosting gig on MTV
With “Jersey Shore” over after six seasons, and with her last hope of remaining a major reality star on MTV being the second season of “Snooki & JWoww,” it is safe to say that Jenni “JWoww” Farley is hoping for some big things courtesy of hosting MTV’s annual New Year’s Eve bash this year. This is her first time hosting live television alongside her pal Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, and faring well in this environment, and showcasing some of that trademark humor and personality while keeping the ship afloat, could go a very long way in her having a future in TV even beyond just cameras following her around.
With this in mind, it’s perfectly understandable that JWoww could be feeling a little bit of anxiety over the whole ordeal. Speaking in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the reality star opens up a little bit about the mixture of emotions she is feeling leading up to the big show in New York City:
“I have stage fright! I’ve never hosted a live broadcast like this before, hopefully I don’t freeze or go blank on stage … I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate.”
Save for the aforementioned show, the other major possibility away from her typical reality-show format is a celebrity diving special coming up on Fox, where she will be competing along with Kim and Kyle Richards and famous “Soul Surfer” inspiration Bethany Hamilton. Beyond that, JWoww’s best hopes may be trying to land a gig for the time being on “Dancing with the Stars” (which premieres its new season in March) or “The Celebrity Apprentice,” which she will have to wait for given that the new season featuring All-Star contestants has already filmed.
What do you think: could you see JWoww as a full-time host of a show moving forward, and where do you want to see her go in a post-“Jersey Shore” world? If you want to read up on what some of her co-stars had to say about the recent series finale, you can do so over here.
