‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: An explanation for that shirtless Darren Criss photo
Back before “Glee” executive producer Ryan Murphy decided to randomly delete all of his followers and his tweets, he had posted a shirtless photo of none other than Blaine (Darren Criss) along with the explanation that it was some sort of showcase as a part of a “Men of McKinley” calendar.
So was this just a joke from Murphy, a tease for Darren Criss fans everywhere, or something that is meant to be a part of something greater? Well, we now have an official answer for you. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, this calendar is actually put out by New Directions (possibly in that episode entitled “Naked”) in order to raise money for a certain something. What is it? Since the group is no longer in competition we don’t know, and we also don’t really understand why the group needs that much money considering how loaded Sugar’s father supposedly is.
Of course, we do have to ask the following question: why in the world is a group of high school guys putting out a shirtless calendar? For people who are teenagers, it’s probably no big deal; however, for any adults watching the show it really juts comes across as rather weird (even if the actors are all much older than their TV counterparts). Plus, we wouldn’t think all of these guys would necessarily have the same sort of physique that Blaine (who boxes regularly) does.
What do you think about the idea of this calendar, and what do you think that some of these people are trying to raise money for at the moment? If you want to see some more scoop about Lea Michele and Murphy’s sudden exit from the social-networking site, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
