‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 spoilers: A new nickname for Marshall and Lily?

Strange names have been a theme of “How I Met Your Mother” over the years, and we are going to be witnessing this all over again courtesy of the upcoming hour-long Christmas episode entitled “The Final Page.” Somehow, it looks like Seth Green is also going to be getting himself involved in some capacity.

According to a new report from Zap2It, the former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star (who worked alongside Alyson Hannigan for many years) is going to potentially be a part of a group known as the Three Hackmigos. Who are the other two members? There is no confirmation on this just yet, but we have a feeling that they could be going by the names of Marshall and Lily.

The story surrounding these characters is certainly set to be interesting, as Green’s character for whatever reason is going to be convinced into believing that they are somehow closer friends than they really were. As a matter of fact, Hannigan and Jason Segel’s characters are not even going to remember him. Is Green just making all of this up, or is there something else rather strange at play here? Hopefully, the show will not wait for too long before presenting us with an answer. (Hopefully, it will be one of the a hilarious variety.) Even if this story does disappoint for whatever reason, this hour is also going to be featuring Barney and Robin in a pretty major way.
