‘Hart of Dixie’ season 2 spoilers: First look at McKayla Mulroney episode

“Hart of Dixie” season 2 will be taking a little bit of a break Tuesday night courtesy of the Presidential election, but following this we will have plenty of great content coming our way from Bluebell for much of the month … including some scoop suggesting that there may be a new couple in town after some hints were starting to point in that direction.

The upcoming seventh episode of the season is entitled “Baby, Don’t Get Hooked on Me,” and it will feature an appearance by Olympic gymnast McKayla Mulroney. Sadly, she is not mentioned in the official synopsis below, and thus we have no idea at the moment as to just who she will be playing on the episode or who she will interact with; however, what we do know already is that Ruby and Lavon are going to be getting a little bit closer following the end of the Mayoral race:

“After Zoe (Rachel Bilson) treats the high school football team, she learns that Max (guest star Nicholas Podany), who happens to be Rose’s (guest star McKaley Miller) new crush, has become infatuated with her instead. Eager to nip his crush in the bud, Zoe learns that Max is prone to overreacting to heartbreak and is encouraged by the town to wait until after the big game, as they are counting on him to win. Lemon (Jaime King) decides to start a catering business and asks AnnaBeth (guest star Kaitlyn Black) to join, but Lemon is taken aback by her answer. Meanwhile, Lavon (Cress Williams) tries to win over Ruby’s (guest star Golden Brooks) grandfather Sergeant Jeffries (guest star Charlie Robinson) by doing his chores, but Lavon finds out there is another reason her grandfather doesn’t want them together.”

This episode seems to be staying true to the show’s southern roots by focusing on two things that all people in the south cherish: food and high school football. Let’s just hope that Mulroney finds a fun way to appear here in the process (and we’re sure that the writers are going to find a way to jam that “not impressed” face meme in here somewhere).
