‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 5 spoilers: The hunt for Frankie Diamonds (video)

Finally, next week’s episode of “Sons of Anarchy” is going to feature a theme that should feel tried and true to anyone who has loved this show over the past several years: Clay and Jax squaring off. On this occasion, the stakes are going to be higher than ever as the two embark on a hunt for one man who really holds the key to everything that is currently going on with SAMCRO, Roosevelt, and even Gemma: Frankie Diamonds.

Unfortunately, this is not going to be so easy of a search as some of these characters were probably hoping that it would be. For one thing, Diamonds has brought on board some more men, which directly translates to him being much harder to access. For another thing, Jax and Clay are probably going to be so concerned with each other that they may end up accidentally allowing each other to get away.

The action on this show is not just ramping up when it comes to the scripts, but it’s doing the same exact thing in the ratings. Tuesday night’s new episode was the strongest 10:00 p.m. drama on TV with a 2.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic, and it also happened to be one of the most-watched episodes of the show ever with 4.6 million viewers. In another dose of irony, this episode actually drew higher viewership figures than any show airing on FX’s sister network Fox (who is in the middle of a massive struggle courtesy of their comedy lineup).
