Arrow season 8 episode 7 spoilers: Prepare for ‘Purgatory’
So what is going to happen leading up to the crossover? Think in terms of a story that will feature the return of a familiar face (Byron Mann is back!), plus also Oliver Queen having to go back to where things all began for him in order for him to move forward. There is something that is delightfully full-circle about the direction that the show is going at the moment. This final season has felt like a nice little tour of nostalgia, but at the same time a narrative that matters. It’s not just a series of wink-and-a-nudge cameos that are thrown out there for the sake of generating some eyeballs.
Below, CarterMatt has the full Arrow season 8 episode 7 synopsis with some more information as to what is coming up next:
BYRON MANN GUEST STARS – Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) mission takes him to Lian Yu where he tries to ignore the repercussions of the looming Crisis until he receives help from an old friend. Meanwhile, a united Team Arrow faces a recognizable villain. James Bamford directed the episode written by Rebecca Bellotto & Rebecca Rosenberg (#807). Original airdate 12/3/2019.
So what lies ahead for Arrow on the other side of the Crisis on Infinite Earths event? Things are going to have to move quickly, given that there are only so many episodes still coming. The Arrow portion of Crisis is going to air coming up on January 14, and after that, a new episode will air on January 21. Then, you’ve got the series finale airing on January 28, which will be preceded by some sort of retrospective. Arrow is a watershed series for The CW and for all superhero show on TV. Without it, we have a hard time thinking that this genre would be anything close to what it is today.
