Outlander season 5: Sophie Skelton posts new Bree – Jemmy photo!

As many of you certainly know at this point, Outlander season 5 is currently in production — deep in production! It won’t be long until the cameras are done rolling, and also the show premieres on Starz in February.

So while you wait for that fateful moment to be here, why not check out a new look at Sophie Skelton HERE! Or, to be specific, this is a look at Brianna alongside her new son Jemmy. You’ll see the story jump forward a good bit in the new season; for photographic evidence, just look at how old Jemmy is! He’s in the full-on toddler phase here, and that does coalesce with the casting notices that were put out for multiple versions of the boy (and twins to play him) throughout the upcoming episodes.

For Sophie as an actress, this season should prove to be a fantastic opportunity for her to show additional versatility — alongside, of course, everything that she has already. You’ll get a great chance to see how Brianna reacts to a new circumstance in life. She’s been in the 18th century long enough to have some of her bearings, and she’ll have to put whatever fears she has about the era or change to the side in order to be there for her daughter. The same goes for Roger. They have different priorities now and with that, they have to view the world differently.

Beyond just being parents, there is another part of Brianna’s story that should be fascinating — watching how she fits into the daily life at Fraser’s Ridge. What does her place look like, and how does she prepare for the ever-bubbling threat of the Revolutionary War? Like with Claire and Roger, she has foresight on events to come that nobody else does.
