Batwoman episode 2 preview: What lies ahead for Ruby Rose, cast?

Batwoman

Following tonight’s big premiere, where are things going to go moving into Batwoman episode 2 on The CW next week? This is a show with a lot of ambition — it needs to have it. We’re talking here about a series that is coming on after years of other successful Arrowverse programs, and it just so happens to about be one with Gotham City as its setting. It’s got a rare opportunity to show this place after Batman, what that looks like, and how it operates. We’re not sure that any of them is going to prove to be anywhere near what Batman expected — on some level, he probably would like to imagine that the streets are a little bit cleaner.

Yet, they’re not. There is still a lot of chaos and, because of that, there will be some struggles for Kate to keep things together. Ruby Rose’s title character will spend episode 2 taking on her Big Bad Alice while also looking at some other threats in the city as well. She’s also got some other people in her life away from the costume that could also prove to be important — think along the lines of Sophie, someone she’s got quite a history with already.

For a few more details now on what to expect, CarterMatt has the full Batwoman episode 2 synopsis below:

LEGACY – Back in Gotham, battling Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and the Wonderland Gang from the shadows, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) continues to be haunted by the events surrounding her sister’s death 15 years earlier. While the city holds on to hope that Batman has returned, Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and the Crows up the stakes trying to take down the villainous crew. Kate continues to look to Bruce Wayne’s legacy for guidance as Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson) inadvertently gets pulled into Batwoman’s vigilante heroics. Sophie (Meagan Tandy) and Kate are forced to team up, while Mary (Nicole Kang) finds herself in Alice’s crosshairs. Elizabeth Anweis also stars. The episode was written by Caroline Dries and directed by Marcos Siega (#102). Original airdate 10/13/2019. Every episode of BATWOMAN will be available to stream on CWTV.com and The CW App the day after broadcast for free and without a subscription, log-in or authentication required.

If you loved Arrow, then you have at least some sort of sense as to what you’re going to see here. This is going to be an action-packed, intense episode with a lot of different wrinkles to it, and over time, we’ll get to know the world beyond just Kate Kane and the cowl.
