Blue Bloods season 10 spoilers: Nicky makes a decision on her future
Could Erin’s daughter opt to be like her mother, and work her way into law school? Or, is it possible that she’s going to go in the direction of most Reagans — join the force and become a cop. We’re going to get a chance to find out what she wants to do in the premiere, and that is something that executive producer Kevin Wade discussed via TVInsider:
“She announces her decision at a Sunday dinner … I think it will come as a surprise.”
For the sake of the show, we think that the more interesting outcome of the two would be seeing Nicky get into being a cop — mostly because the show could actually give you a good sense of what it’s like working your way into this profession in 2019. This is not a time when it’s easy to be a cop, and we also think that how Nicky is treated because of her last name and her status could be interesting in its own right.
In the end, we’re just crossing our fingers and hoping for some fun stories over the next few weeks and months. No matter what we see Nicky end up choosing, we imagine that it’s a storyline that Blue Bloods won’t be off immediately. More often than not, they like to take their time to allow the Nicky stories to simmer. they just can’t take too long, mostly because we won’t get much of a chance to see consistency again. Sometimes, there’s such a wait between Nicky plots that we don’t get any context behind her decisions.
