The Hills: New Beginnings finale: A vow renewal and a two-hour event!
First things first, let’s inform you of a time change — the two-hour event is going to start off at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. It could feel like a movie, given that you have so many events at the culmination of this story. That includes a chance to see a vow renewal for Heidi and Spencer, something that has been planned for a little while this season. It makes sense to end the season on big “events” — we had one of those in the form of the big fashion show on Monday, and we have another coming this time around.
We know that Heidi is interested in a drama-free affair, as just about anyone would be on this particular occasion! Unfortunately, we cannot say for sure that she is going to get anywhere near as lucky when it comes to this event. There’s drama all around the event, including more drama with Brody Jenner that could eventually cause him to leave Spencer’s place. What’s going on here could alter much of the course of the event, and change some relationships on the other side of it.
In the end, we would imagine that the goal for MTV is to find a way to leave viewers wanting more. The Hills: New Beginnings was clearly never meant to be just a one-and-done prospect — they’ve already renewed the show for another season, and there are going to be many different changes that go along with that. For example, Brody and Kaitlynn Carter are no longer together, Mischa Barton could be more accustomed to the world of this show, and in general, everyone should be in a different place both personally and professionally. While the revival was being filmed, there may have been questions as to whether or not this would work again. We wouldn’t say that season 1 was some enormous hit, but it has done another to justify its continuance.
After The Hills: New Beginnings wraps up its finale, here’s your reminder that Are You the One? will be wrapping up its own story for the season.
