MasterChef season 10 episode 21 video: A Gordon Ramsay face-off
Is Gordon becoming a contestant? No … not that anyone thought that this is happening in the first place. Instead, we think that the video that CarterMatt has for you below as a precursor to what this upcoming challenge is likely all about. We foresee some of the remaining home cooks in a situation where they have to try and match the quality of whatever Gordon cooks, whether it be replicating the dish or doing something using similar ingredients. This is something that we’ve seen on this show plenty of times already, and when you get down to the top 7 (which is where the remaining cooks are now), this is the time where you have to be able to take this sort of task on. The pressure’s on, and we know that there’s something big coming on the other side of this episode — a chance for the remaining home cooks to leave both the MasterChef kitchen and even the country. We can’t say if the cooks will be aware of this at the time of the challenge, but we feel like we’d be super-bummed out if we got eliminated and then realized we missed out on something like this.
As for what else is coming within this episode, we know that there are going to be some chances for some of the home cooks to see their family as they make a dish inspired by where they come from and the people they love. We have a feeling that this could be one of those episodes where the family visit is the first part of the episode and the Gordon challenge is afterwards, but we’ll get the full scoop when it ultimately airs.
Oh, and we like to think the video teaches an important lesson: If you’re trying to execute a flambe, it’s probably not a good idea to bring the flames any closer to your face.
