Think back now to a little bit earlier this season when Goldberg appeared. It seemed at the time as though Sam was contemplating a different sort of future for himself, one where he was more on the road, separate from the rest of the team and taking on difficult jobs no one else could. Not much came of that sense but with Lance Hamilton coming back, that offer could be out there again. It will really just come down to whether or not Sam wants to go ahead and take it. (Personally, we think he’ll stay put — whether it be Nicole DeChamps or some of the friendships that he’s got in Los Angeles, the laundry list of reasons for him to stay is so much longer than the list of reasons why he should go.)
So what’s coming up beyond this particular part of the case? We imagine that there are some other surprises that will lie around some various corners. Think in terms of getting an opportunity to see a big Kensi Blye story separate from her new marriage to Deeks — it’s good every now and then to see characters paired off in different directions. It adds to the overall spice of things!
Below, CarterMatt has the official NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 19 synopsis with some other news on what’s next:
“Searching” – Department of Justice (DOJ) Agent Lance Hamilton (Bill Goldberg) asks Sam for assistance in locating a former U.S. border patrol tactical officer who disappeared following a threat by the cartel. Also, Kensi and Army Criminal Investigative Department (CID) Special Agent Steve Evans (Shane McMahon) partner on a dangerous mission to recover a stolen hard drive with sensitive military intelligence on it, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, March 31 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This episode will be the last for the next couple of weeks, as the annual Academy of Country Music Awards hiatus is lurking right around the corner. On the other side of that April 14 will kick off a new arc of episodes, one that is likely going to last the remainder of the season and one that’s going to be likely jam-packed with great, action-packed stories … including some that could establish a lot of intrigue for a season 11. We’re hoping that there’s one and feel reasonably confident … but you never want to get too excited in advance.
