Is Manifest new tonight on NBC? Looking at the schedule ahead
Yet, that’s not happening tonight. Instead, NBC is airing a Wicked-inspired Halloween Broadway special following The Voice. That is enough to shake up the schedule for this week — but rest assured, Manifest will be back on the air in seven days with a number of different stories that it will need to pick up.
For example, what is going on when it comes to the mystery white light that Cal saw at the end of this past episode? That seems to be connected (choice of words intended) to the larger mystery at hand right now, and that is figuring out what happened to the members of Flight 828 that caused them to miss five years — and not seemingly age in the process. Many characters are involved in that, and there are some other important people we have yet to even meet.
Of course, in terms of the personal stories on Manifest, there are some other things to wonder about. Take, for example, are we going to see Ben and Grace come to terms with how different their lives are now? Danny is seemingly not going anywhere, given that Olive does still treat him like a father and there are still probably feelings there with Grace. Meanwhile, Michaela still has to get used to how she’s feeling right now — she can’t help the fact, even if her ex-fiancé has moved on. We do think that we’re going to get answers to the larger mystery of the show, but learn a few details about some of these people along the way. This is a show, after all, that balances humanity and mythology in exciting ways. Remember that this season already has a full episode order … though the count is only at 16. Sometimes, less is more with these sort of shows.
