Shadowhunters season 3: A new Jace – Alec teaser photo

At the moment, it’s certainly clear that Shadowhunters season 3 news is coming at a crawl … and we don’t, unfortunately, think that is going to change. Freeform still has the broadcast rights in America to the remaining episodes this season, and with them not premiering for many more months, there’s no real incentive for them to start putting out trailers yet. They’ll wait to do that until either some sort of big occasion or a few months before the premiere.

With that, we’ll take whatever sort of tease that we can get … and that includes the latest Jace / Alec teaser photo from executive producer Todd Slavkin on Twitter. This photo features the two characters in a friendly embrace, and is a reminder of the bond that they have and also the evolution of their relationship. The two have been through a lot for many years, but this year is certainly one of the most taxing ones just because of the Owl and everything that has come from that. Moving into the second half of the season, more challenges are coming with Jonathan (now played by Luke Baines) ready to cause a lot of chaos.

Will there be some happy moments along the way? It feels like it. If you love Jace and Clary, signs point to get many great moments in the future. Meanwhile, we’re confident that there are many a fantastic Malec moment coming in the twelve episodes ahead. Even if these episodes turn out to be the end of the series, at least you’ll have many worthy reminders of why you love these characters.

Consider this image a starting-off point for everything that is coming, and that no matter what some of these people go through, the men and women at the Institute and beyond are going to remain a family. The same goes for many of the cast members who went through this epic experience together.
