Outlander season 4: Three things that Starz should promote
Ultimately, the focus of this article is on this particular subject. What are three things that need to be featured prominently in any campaign for season 4? We’ve got our personal take on this below! Obviously, we know that marketing a show is no easy task, but we do think that there are a few things that are fairly essential in the telling of Outlander and the story to come.
1. Jamie and Claire’s new world – We know that there are going to be a lot of different things happening in season 4, with the new setting of North Carolina and a sense of culture shock. Yet, we do hope that the focus, at least from a promotional standpoint, remains on Jamie and Claire. This relationship is really an entry point to everything and while they may not be next to each other every single second of the season, at least there is no extended separation like there was at the start of season 3.
2. Some of the new characters – This, to us, feels like a given — especially since they haven’t been showcased too much at all just yet! The one that we’re the most interested in seeing on screen is Maria Doyle Kennedy as Aunt Jocasta, but without question there are other notable names to be intrigued about, including Ed Speleers as Stephen Bonnet and then also Colin McFarlane as Ulysses.

3. Brianna’s journey – How much should Starz show? We feel like that is a big tightrope that they are going to have to walk down for this season. For most book readers the meeting of Jamie with his daughter is something they may be eagerly anticipating, but you don’t want to give that entire scene away ahead of time — we feel like the trade-off will be Starz showing you a little bit of this story. Yet, they probably won’t showcase so much as to give anything enormous away for non-readers or people who just want to wait until the show airs to see it in action.
