Save Shadowhunters update: Luke Baines joins in; TCA representation
For Baines, we imagine that the past few months have had to be a really strange experience. He knew that he was a part of this show and wanted to be a part of the movement; yet, he had to keep fairly quiet since his casting as the “new” iteration of Jonathan had not been announced yet. Sometimes, the business part of television gets in the way of doing what you’d like! However, now that his casting is official, he did take part in #SaveShadowhunters this week with a new post in commemoration of it. CarterMatt has that for you to take a look at below, and while you’re at it, also take a look at another image from executive producer Todd Slavkin on set with Emeraude Toubia and Jade Hassoune.
For everyone out there who was wondering, it definitely seems as though the cast and crew had a good time with some of the cupcakes that were sent to them by many of the show’s diehard fans.

Teen Choice Awards talk
Let’s shift over now to the Teen Choice Awards, where Anna Hopkins (Lilith) has made it clear that she is ready to attend to help represent the show. We know that Shadowhunters is up for a flurry of awards and we certainly hope that they win many of them — it’s another way to get the word out about the show while this campaign continues! The awards are happening on August 12, and depending on filming schedules we’re not sure just yet how many actors will get a chance to attend.
Regardless of who is able to be there, we’re hoping for a ton of awards and, of course, a good bit of airtime on the show itself. The thing that does stink about the Teen Choice Awards is that there are so many categories that not all of them make the show.
