Claws season 2 episode 7 video: ‘Is that a bullet wound?’
One of the things that does make this upcoming episode so significant, at least to us, is that it represents a real opportunity in order for Desna to start to fight back. At the start of this past episode, it felt like she was scrambling, spiraling, and struggling to figure out what she wanted to do next. That makes some sense, given what she’s been through and some of the betrayal that she must be feeling at the hands of Gregory and Zlata. She thought that much of the world was working for her, but then she realized that it was totally the opposite. Now, she has to figure out how she wants to press onward with the information that she has. Is she really ready to do battle?
Based in the promo below, we do get a sense that a battle is imminent … but, given the history that we’ve seen with Claws, there is also a good chance that things could end up completely falling apart and Desna could be in more trouble than she started. Despite everything that happened in the first season, she’s still inexperienced in criminal enterprise and the same goes for most of the shop. The odds are stacked against all of them — if they put themselves completely out there, we feel like there’s a reasonably good chance that nobody ends up getting out of this situation alive.
From a viewership standpoint, Claws season 2 episode 7 is likely going to be a very good time. From the standpoint of some of the characters, however, this could be one of the most dangerous episodes that they they have experienced to date. There is a reason to worry in some form about all of them.
