Poldark season 4 episode 6 expectations: George takes center stage

Poldark season 4 episode 6

When Poldark season 4 episode 6 comes onto BBC One this weekend, there are many interesting things to look forward to. One of the biggest ones, at least in our head, is getting to see George really go front and center as the villain again. (Warning: Spoilers ahead!) While he’s always been bad, we do think that his place in the “awful villains” department was overtaken by Ossie Whitworth over the past year. As terrible as George may be, he felt somewhat normal by comparison.

With Ossie now out of the picture, though, you better prepare for a batch of episodes that have no problem putting Warleggan’s wickedness front and center once more. One of the biggest things that you can expect Sunday night is George doing everything that he can in order to destroy Pascoe and also take more power for himself. He wants to be able to minimize Ross’ rise with his own, and in the aftermath of Nathaniel Pearce’s death, he now senses the opportunity. This is what makes George a rather fascinating villain within the world of this show. He is incredible shrewd and while he is always plotting something, it is not always clear superficially.

As for what else is coming within this episode beyond just George being George, we would say that one of the biggest things that you can expect, at least at the moment, is seeing Caroline return to Cornwall in an attempt to reunite with Dwight. We hope she got what she was really looking for out of her time in London and her relationship with her longtime love can pick up where it left off.

As for the story of Morwenna and Drake, it’s pretty clear how things are going to be painful. Drake has to realize that eventually, his life does have to go on after what happened with Morwenna and Rosina, even if he’s completely wrecked most of his life simply because of being in love. Why did Morwenna push him away? We have a good theory for it based on how the story for the show is set up, but it’s one of those things where we hesitate to even put it in words out of fear of being correct.
