The Originals season 5: Who is going to die next?
For some more clarity on this subject, all you have to do is take a look at what show executive producer Julie Plec had to say on Twitter:
After tonight, there are five episodes of #TheOriginals left before the end of [its] run. There are about as many significant deaths coming. I know you’re mourning, and it’s going to be hard, but there is some real beauty, love and peace to come too. Buckle up.
We’re prepared for almost anything at this point, and that does probably include a whole lot more death. We already know that Hayley is gone, and while we imagine that Klaus will be around until at least the finale, we’re very much concerned about his fate. Given that there is a spin-off coming about Hope in Legacies and he hasn’t been mentioned much around it, that has us very much concerned for him. Beyond that, we know that Rebekah wants nothing more to be mortal, and if she finds another way to do that (this was a story on The Vampire Diaries already) that could lead to an eventual demise there. We could also see Elijah dying after going through so much pain already.
Basically, this is a show that has left a trail of bodies to date and we imagine that it’s only going to get even more violent, gruesome, and at times sad before it ends. Hopefully, some of the deaths to come do have some element of meaning to them.
