Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6: Hulu passes on revival
According to TVLine, Hulu has passed on reviving the Andy Samberg comedy one day after it was officially canceled over at Fox. There were temporary discussions about bringing the show over in a way that was similar to The Mindy Project following its own cancellation. However, this is not going to come to pass.
To make matters worse, it also does not appear likely that two of the other major suitors for the show in Netflix and TBS will pick it up. The challenge at the moment is finding the right home for it somewhere else, given that these were the ones that made the most sense.
CarterMatt is of two different minds when it comes to this subject. In one way, it is an enormous bummer to think about the upcoming TV season without Brooklyn Nine-Nine as a part of it. Yet, this show did at the same time still get five seasons and that is a really great run for any comedy series on television these days. It got to celebrate inclusivity and have a lot of fun in a really silly setting. This is one of the rare comedies that really did manage to get better and better with each passing season.
There is still no word on whether or not another recently-canceled series in The Last Man on Earth could find its way back to the air after its own recent cancellation.
