Shadowhunters season 3 episode 8 sneak peek: Can ‘Jace’ escape?

Shadowhunters season 3 episode 8 sneak peek

Shadowhunters season 3 episode 8 is coming to Freeform on Tuesday night, and with that, we’re going to see a brand of emotional torment. We know that Jace, or at least The Owl in Jace’s body, can be physically imposing. What this sneak peek below proves is that he can be emotionally abusive, as well.

While stuck in the Malachai configuration, what you are going to see during this episode is Jace doing virtually everything within his power in order to torment and manipulate Alec and Izzy, claiming that he was a “desperate kid” when he was first brought to their family and whatever connection they all supposedly had was all for naught. Magnus encourages the two not to buy into much of this talk, largely because that is all that it is: Talk. There’s no real reason to buy hook, line, and sinker anything that this Jace is telling them just because he wants nothing more than to cause division. The only way he seemingly can escape his prison here is if someone lets their guard down. With that in mind, this is precisely what he is going to push for. Be prepared to see the character fight hard in order to escape, while at the same time Izzy, Magnus, and Alec fight hard in order to restore Jace to his former self.

If the trio can get the real Jace back within this episode, it ultimately goes without saying that this could be the biggest key towards turning the tide against Lilith. To date, she has managed to get almost everything she wanted — even with a few setbacks sprinkled in here and there. This episode should mark the beginning of a great showdown between all of these characters. We’ve already spent the first seven episodes building up to something extraordinary, so here’s to hoping that this finds a way to live up to its billing.
