NCIS season 15 episode 21 return date: Pauley Perrette’s exit begins
Let’s start things off with this: The series is coming back on the network starting on Tuesday, May 1 for what is the first of the final four episodes of the season. That means, unfortunately, that there is going to be a break in the action to keep you guessing.
Beyond just that, NCIS season 15 episode 21, entitled “One Step Forward,” is the penultimate episode for Pauley Perrette as the character of Abby. This installment should help to prepare you for her episode on the following week, which is fittingly titled “Two Steps Back.” There is no official news as of yet regarding how the character will be leaving the show, but this is a two-part story and we have to think that the producers are going to do whatever they can in order to make sure that the journey of this character is properly celebrated. She’s been through a lot on NCIS and deserves a happy exit, not one where she is either killed off or forced into a life of misery.

“One Step Forward” – Sara Carter (Skye P. Marshall) begs Gibbs to investigate her mother’s murder as she believes the local authorities convicted the wrong man. Also, Abby is awarded a dinner reservation for two to a brand-new five-star restaurant in an igloo and has to decide which coworker deserves to go with her, on NCIS, Tuesday, May 1 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
What is so strange about reading this is that on paper, Abby looking to visit an igloo with someone doesn’t feel like a story that is going to be leading to her departure. Yet, this is the sort of show where almost anything is possible. With that, we’re pretty darn confident that there is so much more going on here than what it may seem initially on the surface. We just hope that there is fascinating, exceptional material for Pauley as she winds down her time on the show.
