Arrow season 6 episode 17 preview: Could Oliver actually lose everything?

Based on some of the earliest information that CarterMatt has  for Arrow season 6 episode 17 one thing already feels clear: Depending on just how this story progresses, by the end of it Oliver Queen could be in peril. To be a little more specific, extreme peril. We’re gearing up for an episode entitled “Brothers in Arms” that features Oliver closed in, both in terms of what’s happening with the investigation into him as Mayor and also some of what’s going on with Richard Dragon in the field. We’re at one of the most chaotic points in the series to date and we don’t foresee the chaos slowing down.

Below, the Arrow season 6 episode 17 synopsis does offer up some more news as to what is coming up:

OLIVER MAKES A DARING MOVE THAT COULD COST HIM EVERYTHING – Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Diggle (David Ramsey) face their biggest challenge yet. Curtis (Echo Kellum) is disappointed to find out his new boyfriend has a firm anti-vigilante stance. Mark Bunting directed the episode written by Sarah Tarkoff & Jeane Wong (#617). Original airdate 4/5/2018.

Let’s stop in here for a minute to give Curtis a little bit of credit for trying to find a way to put himself back out there after everything that happened with Paul. Yet, we’re still somewhat surprised that he hasn’t learned just yet that romance and being a part of a vigilante team don’t always mesh all that well. The only reason that Oliver and Felicity really make it work is because they’re in it together as equals and on a level playing field. Lyla has a similar experience to Diggle so him putting his life on the line constantly doesn’t feel anywhere near as foreign to this relationship. Here though, it feels like this person is just not going to be able to handle Curtis’ gig much in the way that Paul struggled with it.

The one thing that we do know for certain is this: Putting Oliver and Diggle at the center of the episode is never going to make us upset. It takes us on a wonderful trip down memory lane all the way back to the days of e first season, back before there even was an Arrow-cave and when Diggle was just a man assigned to look after Oliver.
