Is Sneaky Pete renewed for a season 3?

We know that a Sneaky Pete season 3 renewal is almost certainly coming at Amazon and for good reason. It is one of the strongest series of its kind out there, it’s extremely entertaining, and it is also very popular with Amazon’s overall audience. There is something for everyone in this show! Based on just about every sign CarterMatt has at the moment, it feels pretty likely that a renewal for more episodes is going to be coming down the pipeline.

According to a new report from SpoilerTV (which in turn cites Production Weekly), production for the third season has been set for at some point this coming summer. While this is not a substitute for Amazon officially renewing the show, it is a sign that such a renewal is coming. Typically productions aren’t set without some sort of discussion or overture in advance, so our feeling at present is that there are a few different discussions underway about bringing the show back and everyone’s feeling confident.

While Amazon does not reveal total viewer counts for any of their programming the first season of Sneaky Pete was considered to be a smash hit for them. It is probably still a little early to know the overall commercial impact of season 2 but we feel nonetheless confident that it is one of the bigger hits that the streaming provider has. They need strong, stable series with large audiences and at present, Sneaky Pete is bringing a lot of this consistency to the table with an incredibly strong cast.

On paper, Sneaky Pete is the sort of series that could have many more years left on the air. It doesn’t feel like the story momentum is slowing down and with this cast, there should also be plenty of room left for exploration.
