The Originals season 5 photo: See new Klaus – Caroline reunion

While there are many things to look forward to when it comes to The Originals season 5, we know that the Klaus – Caroline reunion is fairly high on that list and with pretty good reason. The Klaroline relationship is one that many viewers out there have loved ever since The Vampire Diaries and our hope is that it’s going to be interesting here, as well — Candice King will be coming back for a small handful of episodes, including a story at the very end of the season.

As for why Caroline is coming back at least for the first time, Entertainment Weekly reports that it will come at the request of Rebekah — the meeting between Caroline and Klaus will take place in Europe, hence the setting and the background of the photo below (via the aforementioned website). This should serve as the foundation for whatever sort of relationship is coming up; these two characters do have a reason to be connected. Caroline helps to run the supernatural school that Klaus’ daughter Hope attends, and with that, there are always going to be reasons in some form for these two to interact.

New episodes of The Originals are set to premiere this coming April, and we hope that this series does end up being a fitting conclusion to the arc that first began with The Vampire Diaries so many years ago. This could continue to a spin-off that is all about Hope, but for the time being it’s a little bit too early to know for sure that this is going to happen.

Hopefully, we’ll have a little bit more in the way of news to share on The Originals soon, including everything from new characters to drama and also hopefully whatever it is specifically that the entire cast of characters is going to be facing off against. All in all, we imagine that this season is going to be electric.
