Jersey Shore Family Vacation trailer a reminder not much has changed

Jersey Shore Family Vacation trailer

For those who clearly felt as though Jersey Shore Family Vacation was going to be a very different version of the MTV show, we come bearing a message: It’s really not. This is basically the same show that you’ve always loved with a slightly-different coat of paint on it and many years removed from the original. It’s crazy, it’s loud, and there are many little moments within it that harken back to what made the series really great in the first place.

So what are we going to see on the show starting with its April 5 premiere? Based on the trailer below, GTL is still going to be there. So is MVP. Many of these people are now parents and have moved on to other phases of their lives, but they are viewing this show as an opportunity to let loose and have some fun. It’s a breka away from their normalcy for a few weeks in Miami, a place that they haven’t visited since the second season. Other than Sammi Giancola the remainder of the Jersey Shore cast from season 3 onward is there and it feels like they’re all going to have a good time hanging out with each other. There may be a little less personal drama with each other this time, mostly just because of the fact that they all know themselves and each other so much better now than arguably they ever did before. However, there could still be some conflict that stems from some other places, including getting to see what happens when people are put in situations (pun intended) that they have not been in for a while.

One thing that we will say is a little bit different from past seasons is that it does feel as though Jersey Shore is acknowledging some of the lives of these people beyond just the show — take, for example, recognizing that The Situation is in some serious legal trouble and is potentially facing jail time.
