Lucifer season 3 episode 15 review: Lucifer, Chloe go to high school
There were SO many things that were fun about this, namely how invested Chloe got into some of these people. It was almost like she followed them like they were on The OC — she was genuinely invested in them without even knowing them, even though one of them was actually a killer. Chloe. Was. Hilarious. Tonight. Bar none. Lucifer was trying to uncover a killer while Chloe was running around catching up on some of the local gossip — while also doing her job here and there.
Eventually, though, the big twist in the case made itself pretty clear: Lucifer had went undercover as a former student named Todd, and then it just so turned out in the end that the real Todd may as well have been the killer. Once they realized that Todd could’ve been responsible, they left the reunion to go and arrest him … only to then determine that he was not the case.
We don’t want to completely gloss over what was to us one of the other great parts of the episode: Maze, Linda, and Amenadiel’s attempt to distract the real Todd with a double-date going completely awry when Maze started to learn about the recent fling happening behind their back.

As it turns out, there was yet another twist to the story — one that involved a story and finding the right ending. As it turns out, much of the murder was all about a manuscript and finding the best possible ending. Lucifer started to lose his cool in the midst of the arrest, though, which was yet another sign of some of his struggles in the midst of what was going on with Cain.
The aftermath of the case
Linda and Amenadiel had a heart to heart at the end of the episode, and she realized that she was being selfish in trying to be with him while also keeping it from Maze. She realized that she wanted to back off for now while Maze still felt the way in which she did.
Meanwhile, Chloe determined that she didn’t want to deal with some of the drama of high school and she was grateful for the life that she had — yet, she still didn’t mind going to “prom” with Lucifer and having a first dance in the closing moments. You knew that it was coming for most of the episode, but when it comes to sweet Deckerstar moments it has to be pretty near the top of the list.
As for whether or not Lucifer is any closer to resolving what is happening to Cain — not so much. He did get some advice from Chloe that seems to be convincing him to go back in time.
CarterMatt Verdict
This is probably one of our favorite Lucifer episodes in a long time for a wide array of different reasons, with one of the biggest reasons being humor. This was a very funny episode with a role reversal with Lucifer and Chloe at the high school. This was sweet, romantic, and also still fun.
