Victoria season 2 episode 6 preview (PBS): Taking on tragedy
Below, the Victoria season 2 episode 6 synopsis gives you a pretty good sense as to what’s coming up:
Victoria and Albert have to face their worst nightmare as parents, while Peel takes on the ultimate battle in Parliament. When tragedy strikes, they must confront the true cost of standing by your convictions.
Will this tragedy cause you to well up in tears? It’s possible. It’s one of the larger moments of the season, and we do think that this episode is actually more the culmination of the entire second season more so than the finale next week. This season is structured in such a way where the final episode airing on PBS was actually the Christmas Special in the UK — one that aired several weeks after the rest of the season. Therefore, episode 6 is a little more like the traditional finale, whereas episode 7 is actually going to serve almost like a separate movie in its own right. Both offer a clear picture of different chapters of Victoria’s life whether it be as a ruler, a wife, or a mother. There are so many different dimensions to this character and what excites us is getting an opportunity to see all of those mix together. Victoria is multifaceted so much more than the history books give her credit.
We also don’t want to generalize Victoria season 2 episode 6 by just proclaiming that every part of the story coming up is directly tied to her when that’s not the case. There are actually a couple of components in this story that are more important to some other people within the story.
