Supergirl season 3 episode 14 return date for Melissa Benoist, cast
The return date for the CW series is none other than Monday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. Why such a long wait? That is mostly just a function of the fact that Legends of Tomorrow will be taking the place of the series for the next ten or so weeks while Supergirl gears up for what is going to be an intense final showdown with Reign. This character is the most powerful foe that Supergirl has ever come across, and she does not exactly have the same weaknesses that the Girl of Steel does.
These episodes are all so far down the road still that it is a little more challenging to prognosticate as to whatever sort of stories could be coming up. Is it possible that we will have a chance to see some more villains beyond Reign? Absolutely, just as it’s possible that some other heroes could turn up and there could be a few other assorted surprises that nobody would predict in advance. We have not heard anything about another crossover at this point, so for now just think in terms of Supergirl and the rest of the main characters fighting things out on their own.
CarterMatt cannot say whether or not the delay for new episodes will hurt the show’s ratings, but it could be a challenge. Sometimes shows airing late in the spring have a harder time getting a substantial following behind them. The biggest thing that Supergirl does have going for it at the moment is simply this: By the time it wraps up, there isn’t going to be all that much else out there when it comes to competition and owning the TV landscape can be a very good thing for bringing in new viewership. Depending on how things play out for the remainder of the series, there is a great opportunity for some better ratings. The show will not be up against Lucifer, and we do think that this is one of its biggest competitors out there on the schedule.
