Bull season 2 episode 13 review: Chunk’s trouble; the Rebecca Lexington case
On tonight’s episode “Kill Shot,” the case began by introducing us to one Rebecca Lexington. She was at the center of the case of her deceased husband — he was a wealthy, powerful man, and of course as a result of that questions quickly surfaced as to whether or not he could be responsible for what actually happened there.
Yet, was she? Bull figured out not too far into the case but there were other complications. It was hard to figure out precisely who killed her husband or why. There was also another problem: Trying to find a way to get Rebecca on the stand. After all, she was a woman of a certain status and as a result of that, she was not altogether interested in going up on the stand at first … especially when all eyes were already on her as a suspect.
The end result of this case, though, was a twist we didn’t see coming. Bull was able to get her up there after uncovering that Rebecca’s husband had actually hired a hitman to kill him, that way his death wouldn’t be immediately ruled a suicide. This way, the insurance money could be handed down; if it was a suicide, that would not happen. Unfortunately for him, the revelations that Bull uncovered about this hitman pretty much nullified any hope that Rebecca or her daughter would get any of this money. Yet, it didn’t really matter since she was just happy to free herself from suspicion and from this case.
Chunk versus a biased law professor
This was an interesting storyline since it really didn’t have much of an ending. Instead, what we really learned through seeing him on the show tonight was that his time in law school is not going altogether great … mostly because of some predisposed bias that is coming his way from one of his professors who hates trial science and mostly thinks it is a bunch of gibberish with no real meaning or value. He has to work overtime, clearly, in order to convince this person of anything different.
For now, he’s just stuck with terrible grades and it really doesn’t seem as though there is much of an ending in sight.

CarterMatt Verdict
We do wish that there was a resolution to the Chunk storyline, but who knows? Maybe this will be the sort of great plot that lasts for a few weeks and gives us some more great stuff to chew on. For now, we’re just glad to have received Bull season 2 episode 13 before the show goes on a little break.
