Gotham season 4 episode 12 return date hopes for Ben McKenzie, cast

What is the Gotham season 4 episode 12 return date going to be? This has got to be one of today’s biggest questions.

The unfortunate news for now seems to be this: There are no plans for Gotham season 4 episode 12 to air in January in its old timeslot. Fox Thursday nights are moving bringing in a singing-show called The Four, an attempt by them to make you forget about the fact that American Idol is now airing over on ABC.

As a result of this it’s possible that Gotham could go on an extended hiatus until spring, which is when presumably The Four could conclude and when the Winter Olympics are over. This may not be a terrible thing for the show  to do in this instance, given the fact that it needs whatever sort of ratings help that it can get. This is a series that is struggling to maintain a large audience, really to the point that we’re worried about its season 5 future. We’d love to see it happen as a longtime lover of all things Gotham, but it needs viewers and some attention!

Luckily, this is the good news about whenever the show returns: There’s a good chance that it will be doing so with more of Jerome. Cameron Monaghan is returning during the fall finale and he rarely does just one episode and goes away. Usually, the character surfaces for a few weeks, and there are few promotional tools to get people watching quite like a pseudo re-imagining of one of the biggest Batman villains of all time. There are also some other things to be excited about still, including whatever the series is planning to do with Poison Ivy next. While we’re not completely in love with the odd aging up of the character, she’s one of the better Batman villains and we know that Peyton List is a great performer for the role. If they can really find a good storyline for the character this could bring in the viewers.

No matter what happens with Gotham next, at least you can celebrate in the fact that there are still a good 11 episodes presumably to go this season.
